What is it?
The New Ground Academy launched in London in 2014 and has rapidly spread to other nations. Our Liverpool satellite launched in January 2019. The Church learned so much through the coronavirus crisis of 2020 that we went back to the drawing-board to produce a new and exciting curriculum that will equip an army of leaders to make disciples in the post-coronavirus world.
We believe that Jesus wasn’t joking when he told his followers to: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). We believe that he really meant it when he promised that “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). God includes every Christian in Christian leadership.
We believe that God has not reneged on his promise that, through Jesus, “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9). That’s why New Ground Academy exists: to enable you to become part of the fulfilment of these promises.

What will I do?
GET ROOTED IN THE WORD OF GOD
Our new curriculum will take you through the Bible, from start to finish, and it will help you to apply the truths of God’s Word to the very practical, cut-and-thrust details of your daily life and ministry.
GET EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD
We believe that Christian leaders need more than Bible information. They also need Holy Spirit impartation. Our new curriculum will give you a thorough understanding of what it means to partner with God’s Spirit to fulfil God’s great plan for the world around you.
GROW IN CHARACTER AND SKILLS
Christian leadership is a lot about character. It doesn’t come naturally to most people. We need people who will love us and spend time with us to apprentice us in what it means to take a lead within the Kingdom of God. Our curriculum will give you the general leadership skills that you need to shape, grow and plant churches.
We have worked very hard to produce a training package that is accessible to anyone and challenging to everyone. We believe that we have developed a great combination of practical theology, on-the-job coaching, peer interaction and personal mentoring. We also believe that we have struck a good balance between classroom teaching and interactive discussion.
