What do you enjoy about student life at Freedom Church?

Broyny

Third Year student at liverpool hope

Students@freedom has been amazing! It mainly involves eating a lot of good food and having a laugh together. Life was never meant to be lived alone and it’s so great going through the highs and lows of life and everything in between with friends in a similar situation and also friends who have been there before. We take time to go deeper in God’s word and encourage, challenge and inspire each other . These times have been transformational in my faith! Love my freedom family and so excited to start a new year!

Rebecca

Third Year Student at Liverpool Hope

The student life in Freedom Church is one big family. I’ve only recently joined the Church and they have made me feel so welcome, especially as a student from Northern Ireland, you need to find somewhere where you can call home. The people leading the Freedom student group really build you up in your faith in God and are always encouraging your walk with Him. Once a month we gather together in someone’s house and we go through the Bible together. It’s the togetherness which I really like, seeing people from different backgrounds all worshipping the same amazing God together.

How to find us

We meet every Sunday at Childwall Sports & Science Academy on Queen’s Drive, L15 6XZ – less than 15 minutes walk from Liverpool Hope Park campus. We also offer lifts to anyone who wants one! If you would like to arrange a lift, or have any questions about anything at all, please feel free to drop us an email at: students@freedomchurchliverpool.co.uk, or send us a message on our Facebook page.

Students@Freedom

Once a month during student term times we hold our Students@Freedom evening – a time for students to gather together, have fun, eat pizza and go deeper with God!

We also run various events with students in mind during the year – including regular FREE student and 20s lunches, our Alpha course, and fun socials like film nights, games nights, and weekends away.

About

We are passionate about students here at Freedom Church. Liverpool is an exciting, vibrant city which is perfect for studying, and we are keen to welcome and support students for however long they are here.
Choices made, friendships formed, lessons learned – things that happen during your time as a student can be hugely formative for the rest of your life. We aim to provide a ‘home away from home’ for students who have moved to Liverpool and are seeking somewhere to worship God. We want to help students – and people of all ages – get to know God more deeply, and prepare to lead the lives that God has called us to. Lives which make a difference in the world – which display God to all who meet us!

Our Sunday morning meetings are vibrant, lively and exciting – with extended worship time and faithful Bible teaching. Fresh coffee (ethically sourced!), tea and biscuits are always in plentiful supply! We meet just walking distance from Liverpool Hope University campus, and close to various student residential areas.
